Report on the Activities of the Committee for the First Half of 2026

The activities of the Women Entrepreneurs Committee of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry during the first half of 2026 were generally carried out in accordance with the Committee’s Work Plan for 2026, approved by the Women Entrepreneurs Committee of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry on January 28, 2026.

The Work Plan did not provide for a division by half-year periods and did not include specific deadlines for the implementation of individual items. Therefore, this report covers the activities actually carried out by the Committee during the period from January to June 2026, in accordance with the planned initiatives.

Oleh Armenovych Saakyan is a political scientist and head of the public organization “Unified Coordination Center”.

He specializes in social and humanitarian innovations, worldview dimensions of information warfare, crisis manifestations of border identity, and post-conflict reintegration.

INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S ECONOMIC FORUM 2026

Date: April 30, 2026Location: Kyiv, in-person + online

The International Women’s Economic Forum 2026 is an event that brings together women entrepreneurs, international partners, business associations, and the expert community around the topics of women’s leadership, business internationalization, entering EU markets, export readiness, and new development opportunities.

As part of the forum, 15 women entrepreneurs were also selected to receive further individual consultations on international business development and entering EU markets.

The International Women’s Economic Forum is organized by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the NGO International Women’s Economic Forum and UKRSIBBANK, with the support of the international cooperation program STEP IN 2 EU, co-financed by the governments of Germany and Norway, as well as the European Union within the EU4Business initiative, and implemented by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.

Quality Standards for Children's Nutrition as a Foundation of the Nation's Health Across Generations

Date: April 26, 2026Location: Kyiv, IQ Business Center

The forum brought together representatives of government, business, academia, and the expert community to discuss the quality and safety of children's nutrition as a foundation for a healthier future for Ukraine.
President of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mykola Zasulskyi emphasized the importance of supporting national producers, developing a culture of consumption, and implementing quality standards, particularly through the “Capital Quality Standard” competition.
President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hennadiy Chyzhykov highlighted the prospects of creating a children’s nutrition cluster and developing the industry under the Made in Ukraine brand.

Vice President of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chairwoman of the Women Entrepreneurs Committee Liudmyla Sizikova
noted that providing quality nutrition for children is a shared responsibility of the government, business, and society. Member of the Parliament of Ukraine Oleksandr Haidu confirmed his readiness to support the developed initiatives at the legislative level.

During the panel discussions, participants discussed the implementation of HACCP standards, cooperation between producers and educational institutions, healthy nutrition for children, and increasing the responsibility of all stakeholders involved in the process. Key proposals included supporting Ukrainian producers, improving the procurement system, introducing modern quality control mechanisms, and harmonizing legislation with international standards.

shared practical experience in developing a children’s nutrition system, emphasizing the importance of high quality standards and a responsible approach to procurement.

Following the forum, participants outlined further steps for the development of the industry and emphasized the need to unite the efforts of the government, business, and the scientific community to create an effective children’s nutrition system in Ukraine.

What is its significance and essence?The competition is inspired by European practices and adapted by the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It allows managers to assess existing policies on flexible schedules, leave, and support for family responsibilities, as well as to test new approaches. This helps improve work–life balance, reduce emotional burnout, and increase productivity. As a result, companies receive practical tools to improve corporate culture and create a comfortable work environment.
What is its value?Participation in the project highlights management’s responsibility for the well-being of employees and their families and enhances the company’s reputation. Companies that participate become more attractive in the labor market, as they demonstrate care for work–family balance.

Participants had the opportunity to join the discussion via a Telegram bot, share their thoughts to help shape the resolution, take part in prize draws, and experience an atmosphere of support, experience sharing, and inspiration.
