About the Committee

The Women Entrepreneurs Committee of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a community of 54 active women, owners and CEOs of companies that are members of the Kyiv CCI, united by a common goal: to develop entrepreneurship, support each other, and create qualitative changes in the business environment of Ukraine.

The Committee is headed by the First Vice President of the Kyiv CCI, Lyudmila Sizikova.

The Committee was founded almost eight years ago. In 2019, it organized the first international conference for women entrepreneurs, “Success is in You,” which was covered by more than 30 media outlets. A second conference, “Lean in — Don't Be Afraid to Act,” was planned for 2020, but it was prevented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Goals and objectives:● Representing the interests of women entrepreneurs in dialogue with the authorities;
● Supporting the development of women's entrepreneurship;
● Exchanging experience and establishing cooperation;
● Identifying business challenges and developing proposals for their resolution;
● International partnerships and involvement in projects.

International cooperationThe Committee is a partner in the Koblenz Chamber of Crafts (Germany) Projects (2019–2024), aimed at developing associations of women entrepreneurs. In July 2022, a face-to-face partnership conference was held in Koblenz.
Other partners include:● Associations of women entrepreneurs from Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Kosovo;
● The cooperation was supported by GIZ and financed by BMZ (German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development).

Response to challengesDespite the challenges—the pandemic and full-scale war since 2022—the committee continued its work: meetings were held online, support was provided via Viber chat, and online events and consultations were organized.
Participation in projectsThe committee members are experts in national and international projects, including the “Viability+” project by IOM, GIZ, and BMZ, which aims to promote the economic integration of IDPs and war victims.
