Mission and values
My mission is not only to teach techniques but to cultivate the mindset of a designer who creates meaningful spaces. To me, every interior reflects a person’s personality, dreams, and needs. I believe that true design begins with a deep understanding of oneself and a subtle awareness of others. I guide my students on this journey through hands-on practice, mentorship, and the philosophy of design.
Education
● DALPU (1995), specialty in “Artistic Design and Modeling of Women’s Clothing,” fashion designer;
● International Interior Design Certificate (2012);
● Ongoing professional development through participation in exhibitions, forums, and mentorship programs.
Experience
● Over 28 years of experience in interior design;
● Completed more than 60 interior projects for residential and public spaces in Ukraine and abroad;
● Since 2014 — Instructor at the European School of Design (EDS), program curator, and mentor;
● Lecturer and speaker at industry events (Kyiv International Furniture Forum, Design Living Tendency, KVC Parkovy — design forums and masterclasses);
● Expert for the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation (2020–2024);
● Member of the Union of Designers of Ukraine.
Personal achievements
● Created the signature educational program “Interior Art Laboratory by Elena Bozhenko,” covering the full journey from foundational knowledge to completed, implemented projects. The program combines intensive practice, mentorship, and the development of creative thinking. Its graduates are already working on real interior projects under Elena’s guidance.
About business
“Interior Art Laboratory” is an online platform for an in-depth immersion into the interior design profession. I created it based on 28 years of experience to provide students not only with knowledge but also an understanding of design philosophy and the ability to create spaces that reflect the client’s personality.
Business achievements
● Successfully created and executed over 60 interior projects (residential, restaurants, cafés, country houses);
● Successful case of remotely overseeing authorial project supervision abroad;
● Launched the educational platform “Interior Art Laboratory” — over 100 students have completed the program and are implementing their own projects;
● Speaker at KIFF, DLT, and KVC Parkovy, in partnership with leading brands and architectural events;
● High level of trust in the mentorship approach, offering a personalized educational trajectory for each student.
